Nathan Sotherland

Predoctoral Research Fellow

Nathan Sotherland is a third-year PhD student in the Department of Economics at the University of Michigan. His fields of interest are labor economics, public finance, and the economics of education. His current research focuses on the effects that Career and Technical Education and Place-Based Scholarship Programs have on students’ secondary and post-secondary educational outcomes. Prior to starting graduate school at U of M, Nathan was a senior research analyst at the W. E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research and majored in economics at the University of Michigan.
